Dr. Anita Wheat
Veterinarian
Dr. Anita Wheat grew up in a small town in western Alabama, where she developed her love for animals while helping her father care for cows and gather eggs on their family farm. From an early age, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and later discovered her passion for small animal medicine.
She earned both her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. Dr. Wheat is excited to serve the Columbus community and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients and their families.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Wheat enjoys walking in the park with her dog, Smitty, and relaxing with a good book, especially Harry Potter.

Dr. Samantha Special
Veterinarian
Dr. Samantha Special was born in Columbus, Georgia, where she earned her undergraduate degree from Columbus State University before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University.
She has experience in both general practice and urgent care settings and is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to every patient she treats. Dr. Special values building trusting relationships with pet owners and ensuring that each visit is thorough and supportive.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Special enjoys reading and spending time with her dog and cat.
