Dental health is a very important part of the overall health of your pet.  Periodontal disease is very common in pets today, and can lead to other health conditions, such as heart and kidney problems.

Bad breath may just be one sign that will let you know that your pet is in need of a dental check up.  Dental cleanings are treated as seriously as any other anesthetic or surgical procedure. Therefore, all the same protocols and considerations apply.  Dental cleanings are performed on a daily basis, but not every mouth is the same.  Please schedule a dental exam with one of our doctors so that a treatment plan can be tailored to your pet’s specific needs.

Call us today to schedule an appointment (706-568-4848) to have your pets teeth cleaned. During your initial appointment the doctor will explain the procedure and give you an estimate of fees. After your pet has had their teeth cleaned professionally it is important to perform regular brushing at home. The following video demonstrates the proper way to brush your dog’s teeth.

Everyone was so wonderful from the moment we walked in. So kind and attentive. Dr. W and his staff made us feel as if we were their only patients that day. I never felt as though we were being rushed through to get to the next appointment. Everything was explained thoroughly and all questions were patiently answered. Would highly recommend!

We had a great experience bringing our kitten Sam to Animal General! The staff was kind and caring and was great at communicating with us through the whole process. We can’t wait to bring our other pets there for their vet needs.

Super friendly and helpful staff- The vet was compassionate and very knowledgeable. My puppy came in with a fractured femur and right away received lots of love and attention. I know I left him in good hands.
