Preventative Medicine
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
The doctors and staff at Animal vaccinationGeneral Hospital take great effort to help your pet stay current on recommendations set forth by the veterinary medical profession. These include: regular puppy/kitten visits, twice yearly adult wellness exams, and at least twice yearly geriatric exams, depending on your pet’s health.
Our vaccination protocols are based on those set forth by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). These protocols help ensure that we are keeping your pet as healthy as possible. We highly recommend keeping all dogs and cats on heartworm and flea preventatives year-round. We also recommend yearly heartworm/blood parasite and/or FeLV/FIV screening with your pet’s exams.
